Turquoise And Leather

I love a classic black and white look. Although I think doing an all black and white ensemble is very elegant, I decided to throw in some color to make it a little trendier.

I love mixing different textures. I paired this faux leather front panel skirt with a chiffon top. This top is pretty feminine so it goes nicely with an edgy bottom. A few suggestions are: leather pants or even a bold print pant or skirt.

An envelope clutch is a nice finish to a dressier ensemble. I decided to go with this color block chain clutch because I loved the colors and contrast it brings to this whole look.

I originally purchased these turquoise suede pumps because I fell in love with the color but I was somewhat unsure about how I was going to incorporate them into my wardrobe. Boy, was I wrong. They have become one of my favorite and most worn shoes all Summer and Fall thus far. Whilst they're not your usual Fall shoe I'm finding new ways to throw them in my fall outfits for a pop of color!

Red Leopard

I love to mix it up. A bold print scarf is a great way to warm up your winter and fall wardrobe! Why dull down a great print? We wear prints to be noticed so, pair it with colored denim!

I decided to throw on a blazer and pair of suede pumps. Suede pumps are on my lists on Must-Haves for Fall! But this ensemble could easily be dressed down with a screen tee and flats or a sweater and boots.

I am in love with these pants right now. So chic yet comfortable. They have a great fit and just enough stretch. I love the zipper detail on the ankle as well. One of my best buys recently from Gap.

Fringe in the Fall

I'm just finally getting a chance to update my blog! I've been so busy lately! Today we took a family trip to the pumpkin patch and got my daughter a little pumpkin. I think I'm going to put a few pictures up in a few days when we carve them. Unfortunately, it's still super hot here in San Diego but thankfully it has been cooling down in the evenings. I love October. I would say this is probably my favorite month of the year. Although it is still warm here, I wanted to celebrate October by doing a few Fall ensembles.

I went with a more casual Fall look and added a little 70's flare with my fringe bag. As much as I enjoy dressing up, I would say, for the most part I'm a casual cozy type of girl. I love the comfort of wearing an oversized sweater. The rips in the sweater definitely give it a little more style and edge. This sweater is actually pretty long and can be paired with skinnies like this, or with a pair of leggings and pumps.

These are my favorite boots, to date. I absolutely love the color and distressed look and have been waiting to pull these babies out of their box! A nice leather boot is most definitely on my list of Must-Haves for Fall. I usually gravitate towards more earthy colors such as: beige, browns, olives, and neutral colors. So, I think this boot is an awesome way to add variety to my wardrobe.

Sometimes the outfit is all about the accessories! Throwing in a pop of color can liven up an otherwise neutral or dark Fall ensemble. I have been going through a serious fringe phase and this bag was one of my many "fringe finds". This bag is also suede, which helps add texture to the outfit, as well. Suede is another Must-Have for Fall.

My favorite accessory today was my Mint Amazonite Gemstone with Chunky Gold Textured Chain Bracelet courtesy of Happy Wrist. I am absolutely in love with it. I have been wearing it with just about everything. I love the color and have gotten a lot of compliments on it.

Thanks for checking out my blog guys! :)

I've received quite a few questions about my bag. So I've included this direct link for you guys! xo

In Love With Leather

I am so excited for colder weather! First chance I got I had to break out the boots! I am going through a serious leather phase right now. (Or faux leather also does the trick.) So far it hasn't felt too much like Fall in San Diego so I have to take advantage of every chance I get. Today it
rained for a change which was pretty nice!

I've been dying for a chance to wear these Dolce Vita suede lace up boots. I love boots. These are actually one of four pairs I've bought recently. :X I love the heel on these too. It gives them a little more of a feminine look. I decided to add the socks at the last minute. So 80's, I love it.

My faux leather jacket is from Bebe. I felt like wearing something a little more edgy. A leather jacket is a must have this Fall. I bought this jacket last year but Bebe has some similar ones now and I've seen a few at Express too. Check out Forever21 if you're looking for something with a lower price point

I decided to go with this chambray top. I love the denim and leather look. It adds a little bit of texture and contrast to this otherwise all leather combo. It is also very lightweight and a perfect piece for layering. This top in particular is from Urban Outfitters. It's a high low top and I wish I could've shown a little more detail. Unfortunately we were on a time crunch because it got dark.

I fell in love with these pants at first sight. I love the zipper detail on these. These faux leather panel pants are from Cotton On. These are a great piece for Fall and look great with boots or dressed up with a pump and tucked in silk blouse. I've had a lot of questions regarding the chunky scarf I'm wearing. I got this scarf recently from Forever21.

Flats You'll Fall For

A little bit of heaven in the form of a flat. I am obsessed with these flats and really want them in a few different colors and styles. These "Ballasox" Ballet Flats by Corso Como are amazing. They're so cute yet so comfortable. They even have a sock sewn right in. What more can you ask for?

Here are a few of the styles they currently have out for Fall. These are great to throw on with a pair of jeans and blazer this Fall. First pair of flats I didn't have to break in!

Each pair come with a convenient little pouch. These are perfect to throw in your bag and find salvation after a long day at work in 4 inch heels!

Out On Bail

If you're not making a statement, you're not saying anything. So, don't be intimidated by something more bold or different. Changing things up is fun and fashion is a way to not only express yourself but fashion allows you
to constantly reinvent yourself.

I decided to go with my black suede peep-toe pumps. These are one of my favorite pairs of heels. They are the perfect height with a bit of a platform and I got them at a great price from Charles David.

I was in love with these pants at first sight. These jeans are from Forever 21. I love that they are a thick stripe and they have a nice zipper detail on the ankle. Super cute dressed up like this with a pump or once it gets a little colder, they will look great with a pair of boots and chunky sweater!

Let's Go Camo!

I've been dying for some camo pants and finally got them! I'm living in these right now. (Don't tell anyone. lol) Adding some prints to your wardrobe is a fun way to mix it up so, don't be timid!

I've been needing a black bag so I finally found one I liked. I really love this bag. Perfect size and not too heavy to tote around which is always a plus. I found this bag recently at Target for under $50. I was very pleased with myself! My bracelets are all from Forever! You can never have enough stacking bracelets. Great way to add some edge to your ensemble!

I am obsessed with these pants right now. They're great dressed up with a pump and I'm excited to put them with a boot once it cools down here in San Diego! I've been wanting a pair of camo pants but I was a bit selective because I wanted something that still looked feminine. I found these recently at Gap. I love that the pants stop at the ankle and are fitted. These are extremely comfortable as well.

I decided to go with my leopard pumps, just to mix it up. Mixing prints is fun and edgy. There are no rules when it comes to fashion. Wear what makes
you feel good and set yourself apart from the crowd.

Summer Dress To Fall Favorite

image

I’m really excited Fall is finally here. This is my favorite Season, by far. Pumpkin spice lattes, Halloween, Thanksgiving, taking my daughter to the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins… You name it, I pretty much love it all. Being that I live in San Diego, it will be awhile before it actually cools down, but on the upside I get to play around with my wardrobe a little bit. I thought it would be fun to do a few posts showing how to make your summer favorites Fall appropriate.
image

I really like this silhouette and I definitely think it flatters a woman’s shape. This is just a fun little summer dress which you can dress up with a nude pump or wear with sandals. As much as I love to shop, I need to try to put myself on a budget and of course it’s always good to find different ways to incorporate a piece to make a fresh look.
image

I loved the back of this dress. Flirty and fun for Summer. But you can easily make it more Fall appropriate by throwing on a cardigan or blazer.
image

One easy way to make a Summer dress into a bold Fall ensemble is to pair it with booties or even a tall boot. Throwing a blazer over a dress is quick and easy but gives you a very polished, chic look. One thing I would add on a colder day is a pair of leggings or tights under this. Here in San Diego it is still around 90 degrees but can’t wait until I can layer up!
image

Blazers are an amazing way to dress up any outfit. From skirts, to dresses, to boyfriend jeans; I think a blazer polishes off a look very nicely. This one in particular, I just got recently from Forever21. My booties are also from Forever21. I’ve recently gotten a few really cute blazers from H&M as well.

Dress It Up

image

This lovely dress is from Closet Ingredients and I am loving this funky print. I am not one to dress too sexy but when you’re going out or attending a party sometimes you want to wear something that WOWs.
image

I had so many different options when it came to shoes because this dress can be dressed up with pumps or strappy sandals, as well as, done more casually with a pair of wedges. I decided to take these babies out of retirement. I bought these awhile ago for a wedding and have had a lot of questions about them. They are Steve Madden and unfortunately I did get them awhile ago. I loved them so I jumped on the opportunity to wear them again.
image

I absolutely loved the colors on this dress and it even got my daughter’s stamp of approval because blue is her favorite color. ;) I love the print on this, it’s very fun and the variety of colors give you a lot of options for shoes to pair it with.
